The yellow wagtail

One of these birds flew past me and Evs in Clyne Gardens. I had never seen one before and did not know that they existed. I have now done my research, and found out that these lovely little graceful birds are called yellow wagtails and that they are on 'The Red List' ( Red is the highest conservation priority, with the species needing urgent action. ) They are pretty rare, especially in these parts, so, we were pretty lucky to see one. With its bright yellow colour in the wintery, colourless Clyne gardens, It felt as if it was some magical creature that we should follow and it would lead us to some magical place. ( sounds pretty lame, I know, but I could imagine the yellow wagtail playing that role in a film. )
