It was Adams birthday back in March and finally, I got round to painting him a picture of a magpie. Adam loves magpies (almost) as much as me. I knew I wanted to create a picture of one for him but wasn't sure how to do it. I think that maybe I didn't feel confident about my work to give it as a present, worried that he would wonder why I had waited all this time to give him a crappy magpie painting. Anyway, after months of putting it off, I sat myself down and started with my water colours, gouache and biro, and here it is.
I am so happy with it, I framed in this super thick and fancy frame. I have had my eye on a couple of bits laying around the workshop and have been keeping it to one side for something special, and felt this was it. I had to send Adam a message to tell him that I had finished his present as I thought I might keep it for myself if I didn't.
He loved it !
Phew.
